I'm an Early Childhood Teacher and EC education is my profession, and vocation.

Working with young minds at the most crucial time in their life, Early childhood educators create neural pathways, and establish skills sets in young children that will support them through the rest of their life long journey. 

 

My journey to get to EC has involved Diploma in Teaching (Primary) and Bach Teach. (Early Childhood).  I have worked in Mobile and Centre Based services and even had a stint at teaching a TAFE. For 32 years I was the centre manager for Griffith Child Care Centre Inc, a provider that managed the Dorothy Waide Centre for Early Learning, Griffith Connections and Griffith Central Preschool

I have also spent a life time being involved in Community Management, including 23 years on the Board of CCSA,  plus  number of other EC boards including the Mobile Services Association of NSW,  and our Local Family Day Care Scheme.

In addition I have participated  in the roll out of the Early Years Learning Framework  and the National Quality Standard through Early Childhood Australia. With colleagues from across the Riverina I have also developed a regional response to building the capacity of our sector workforce through Early Childhood Works.
